My Approach To Assessment

I offer psychological evaluation services to adolescents (15+) and adults for the purposes of clarifying diagnoses related to, but not limited to, ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma disorders, bipolar disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.

Psychological evaluations are typically requested by a physician or psychiatrist to assist in diagnostic clarification for medication purposes, a university department to provide access to academic accommodations and/or documentation for sport, or a therapist to provide information to help guide treatment planning. Self-referrals are also accepted.

Testing can be costly, so I make it a point to contact your insurance company prior to scheduling the assessment to inform you of any anticipated out-of-pocket costs.

The assessment appointment can seem lengthy, as I ask that you attend a 4-5 hour appointment (separated across two days) to complete the test administration portion of the evaluation. During this time, we will complete an intake and you will be administered different forms of assessments that help to differentiate diagnoses related to your presenting concerns. This seems like a long time to spend in an office, so I make sure we take take time for breaks. At the end of the assessment appointment, we schedule a feedback session to discuss your evaluation results.

I encourage you to contact me to learn more about the different assessments we offer and to determine if you would be a good fit for our services. Check out our "Assessments" tab at the top of this page for more information regarding our assessments.

My Approach To Counseling

One of my personal values involves relationship-building, which is one of the prominent and foundational aspects of my work with clients. I enjoy working with individuals (16+) who are motivated for treatment, willing to be open to new experiences, interested in engaging in self-exploration, and wanting to promote change in their current circumstances.

My areas of clinical focus include relational distress (interpersonal, romantic, family), anxiety disorders, mood disorders, grief, life transitions, general identity concerns, and issues with self- esteem and confidence. My clients can expect to feel a mix of support and challenge in our work together; you may feel validated in your experiences while also being challenged to open your mind to perceive your experiences through different lenses.

I know that starting the process of engaging in counseling can be a vulnerable experience. I encourage you to contact me to determine if we would be a good fit to work together.
